Great for students

This book gives detailed descriptions of many of the most common/well-known counseling theories. This is the second theories book that I have had to use in my course of study and it is by far the better of the two. I am not finished with the entire book yet, but there does not seem to be any clear basis towards any one theory so far. There is detail about the history of the developer of the theory/theory itself, practical applications for current populations and methods utilized for each of the theories in this book.

This book is to be appreciated as what it is, a text book. The theories contained within are relatable to a school counselor, and are factual with support from other authors. The book includes exercises that you could do to help you better retain the information. The book was a little pricey with the used condition, but was in the general price-range one comes to expect from a textbook.

The picture of the book is not the same picture that I got. So far the book is what my assignments are aligned to but I did notice that my book says it is supposed to be sold in certain countries only. Im not sure what to think about that.

Outstanding Scholarship

This is the most thoughtful and well-researched monograph on the topic of the Victoria Cross that I have encountered. It fully explores the reasons for the creation of the award and then traces the shifts in criteria for awarding the medal from its inception to the present day. It analyses the reasons for awarding the VC at various points in history and critiques the various military branches' awards bureaus for their viewpoints and motives. The author has filled a significant gap in British military scholarship. Well done.

Lacks Respect

I have 2 major problems with this book.

1) It is primarily a collection of excerpts from VC citations cobbled together. The author's primary contribution is a series statistics outlining the percentage of officer vs. enlisted awardees.

2) There is a subtle contempt which permeates the whole work. The author constantly second-guesses the men he discusses. Phrases like "he would have been better off helping the wounded" indicate not only the author's lack of respect for them, but a kind of academic hubris.

Do not buy this book.

An invaluable guide and profound introduction

This book contains writings from Sri Aurobindo and The Mother on various topics related to yoga. I found this book to be a superb introduction to meditation, particularly for one who is looking for detailed and profound information about this path. Along with containing writings on various methods one can use to practice meditation, it also includes useful information about the deeper philosophy of yoga. For example, the book contains valuable information about attitudes beneficial to yoga, personal growth, rebirth, and many other themes. Though I have read many books by Sri Aurobindo and the topic of yoga, in general, I found this book to be exceedingly informative and a very useful guide for my path. It greatly exceeded my expectation and gave my information I much needed to continue to progress.

Debo reconocer que nunca fui muy fan�tica del g�nero, porque pensaba que todos los vampiros eran demasiado crueles, pero como con el tiempo los gustos cambian, puedo asegurar que he aprendido a entender este tipo de personajes, y si la historia tiene romance, se vuelve m�gica. Bien por la escritora. Felicidades, espero leerte m�s!!!

Una historia sorprendente, la verdad me engancho de principio a fin por lo sorprendente de la trama, me lleve una sorpresa cuando me di cuenta por donde iba la historia, es una historia cargada de erotismo, amor y sacrificio hacia la familia, es lindo ver como el amor todo lo puede a pesar de tantas diferencias y de tanta maldad, me gusta mucho como la autora reflejo en esta novela las escenas de erotismo ya que no tienen nada que ver con lo vulgar ni lo ordinario.

La recomiendo ampliamente seguro los enganchara como conmigo.
